About Us
Evangelical Accrediting Association™ (EAA) has made its primary objective to present a formal structure in the realm of higher education relative to the oversight of educational institutions. This is accomplished through its process of evaluating the academic procedures of those educational institutions which apply for certification and/or accreditation. The EAA™ is a nondenominational Christian association committed to offering educational accountability to institutions of higher learning, both nationally and internationally. This commitment is for all theological institutions of higher education—private schools, colleges, universities, and seminaries. The EAA™ relates to the importance of the success of institutions of higher learning, both academically and spiritually.
The EAA™ bases its accrediting system on a specific educational standard. Under this standard, a theological institution will be evaluated and guided through the process of establishing and maintaining educational accountability. The association constantly promotes excellence and integrity to all of the certified and/or accredited educational institutions. This unique process will assist each institution of higher education in their quest to be academically recognized in religious educational academia.
Our Core Beliefs
Our members hold to a set of core beliefs outlined in our Statement of Faith. It is important that all members agree to these fundamental biblical doctrines as God’s truth.
Certification & Accredidation
The Evangelical Accrediting Association™ was founded on evangelical philosophies of higher education which subscribe to educational accountability and oversight compliance of its members. Within the Evangelical Accrediting Association’s™ oversight procedures, there are two categories:
Certification: The educational institution is not applying to receive full academic accreditation. Certification status is granted to the institution upon the association receiving a specific application, based on the institution’s sole purpose of becoming an active certified member. This status can be granted to the educational institution not currently applying for accreditation. The Certification classification is granted upon the EAA™ receiving a completed application and the approval of the Board of Certification and Accreditation. Each year the certified member institution will receive an abbreviated renewal form. [There is no on-site visit required.]
Accreditation: The educational institution has completed the Accreditation Candidate application process and has become fully accredited. The process also requires the submittal of the “Institution Compliance Analysis” report by the Accreditation Candidate educational institution. This submitted report is then reviewed for approval by the Board of Certification and Accreditation, and if more requirements need to be met, the applicant will be notified as to the continuing process toward full accreditation, with assistance from the EAA™ in this qualification process. Each year the accredited institution will receive an abbreviated renewal form.
